【WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT UMSU PRESS?】

In general, the Universiti Malaya Students’ Union (UMSU) has created an official channel on Facebook, Instagram as well as UMSU website as one of the platform for the online virtual activities to be discussed and also promote all of the information regarding students’ bodies activity, campus media news and current issues that have been raised from time to time. ⠀

The purpose of this channel is to enable the students of the Universiti Malaya to get updated with the latest information and be aware of hot topics both on and off campus from the union quickly and accurately in this advanced information era. At the same time, the channel is also available to promote and broadcast all of the virtual activities which organized by the students’ bodies around the campus. It is aimed to motivate the involvement of UM students especially in campus level’s activities as well as be a platform to publicize all of the activities that are held by the registered students’ bodies of Universiti Malaya.
With that, the secretary of Current Affairs has taken the initiative in enhancing the UMSU PRESS official channel through various social media to create UMSU PRESS as a platform to publicize the current issues, students’ activities as well as campus news. By then, Current Affairs portfolio has launched a discussion series of UMSU PRESS as a space for students to comment on any of the arising current issues. In this context, the raising of each students’ welfare issue as well as current issues could be found in 26 discourse articles which has been featured on the UMSU PRESS page. At the same time, a total of 12 online virtual sessions were held in promoting current issues since it was enhanced.

​​【APAKAH YANG ANDA MENGENALI TENTANG UMSU PRESS?】
Secara amnya, Kesatuan Mahasiswa Universiti Malaya (KMUM) sesi 2020/2021 telah mewujudkan suatu saluran di aplikasi Facebook, Instagram serta laman sesawang KMUM sebagai salah satu wadah aktiviti atas talian untuk membincangkan dan juga mempromosikan segala maklumat aktiviti pelajar, berita media kampus dan juga isu-isu semasa yang telah dibangkitkan dari semasa ke semasa. ⠀

Tujuan saluran ini diwujudkan adalah untuk membolehkan para mahasiswa/i Universiti Malaya untuk mendapatkan maklumat terkini dan sedia maklum dengan topik hangat baik dalam mahupun luar kampus daripada kesatuan dengan cepat dan tepat pada era maklumat lanjutan ini. Pada masa yang sama, saluran tersebut juga tersedia untuk mempromosikan dan menyiarkan segala aktiviti maya di bawah anjuran badan persatuan pelajar. Hal ini bertujuan untuk memotivasikan penglibatan mahasiswa/i dalam aktiviti pelajar pada peringkat kampus sekaligus menjadi wadahan terutama bagi menghebahkan segala penganjuran aktiviti oleh badan-badan persatuan berdaftar Universiti Malaya.
Dengan itu, setiausaha berportfolio Hal Ehwal Isu Semasa telah mengambil inisiatif dalam memperkasakan saluran UMSU PRESS melalui pelbagai sosial media bagi mewujudkan UMSU PRESS sebagai suatu wadah hebahan isu semasa, aktiviti pelajar dan juga berita kampus. Susulan daripada itu, portfolio Hal Ehwal Isu Semasa telah melancarkan siri diskusi UMSU PRESS sebagai ruangan untuk para mahasiswa/i untuk memberikan komen terhadap isu-isu semasa berkenaan. Dalam konteks ini, pembangkitan setiap isu kebajikan mahasiswa dan juga isu semasa yang dikesani dalam 26 buah artikel wacana telah dipaparkan pada halaman UMSU PRESS. Pada masa yang sama, sebanyak 12 sesi aktiviti maya telah diadakan dalam mempromosikan isu-isu semasa sejak ianya diperkasakan.
Oleh itu, adalah disarankan bahawa para mahasiswa/i Universiti Malaya untuk menyertai saluran rasmi UMSU PRESS bagi memperolehi segala maklumat lanjut mengenai isu semasa dan juga aktiviti pelajar dengan klik pautan yang berikut:⠀
